Content Delivery Network (CDN)
A Content Delivery Network (CDN) is a network of distributed servers that deliver content to a user based on the user’s geographic location. CDNs allow for streamlined content delivery for websites with high traffic or a vast geographic reach by duplicating or caching content on multiple servers and directing it to users based on proximity.
- Leads to decreased server load
- Enables faster content delivery
- Allows for easy audience segmentation
- Lowers network latency & packet loss
